I find meaning in walking alongside clients on their path of rediscovery. I aim to create a safe space for you to fully express yourself. Your wellbeing and mental health are important, and I believe we should prioritise it. The goal is for you to walk out with a sense of self-actualisation while also being equipped to face daily struggles. I love helping adolescents and young adults work through developmental challenges, such as self-esteem, identity development, change adjustment, bullying, emotional and relationship struggles. Every young person I meet seems to teach me something new about life and how they perceive the world. Going through counselling does not always have to be hard. It can also be fun and rewarding.
I have been registered with the HPCSA (PRC0038520). Growing up, I knew wanted to serve others in some way and to make a difference in the world. As a teen, I had to face many personal struggles and was fortunate enough to receive counselling, guidance, and life coaching. From that experience, I saw value in this field and immediately pursued a career in psychology after school. While I was studying, I volunteered as a student mentor, helping new students adjust to campus life and just being their support system when things get tough. During postgrad, I interned for the Trauma Clinic in Cape Town as a school counsellor to adolescent girls. For my practicum, I was placed at a school to provide counselling to pre-primary and primary school learners. At the same time, I was placed at a tertiary institute as a student counsellor.
